Hello and welcome to Extreme Performance Horses. I am Josh Andrews, owner of Extreme. Starting out at a very young age going to rodeos,  I always watched every event and thought about what the rider could do to improve. So, at the age of 16, I started giving lessons, and before I  knew it, I had  students competing at the state and national levels. I thought, " I can do this." The following year, I  picked up a few more lessons and started to make a name for myself by qualifying a student for the Arkansas State Horse Show in Pony Barrels and Poles. We placed  in the top 15.  In 2008, Emily Goss rode under me and qualified for the National Little Britches Finals Rodeo in Pueblo, Colorado, in 5 events.

In January of 2008, I purchased a true "diamond in the rough."  One boring winter Saturday, a friend and I went to a local horse sale. As we were walking back to look at all of the sale horses, we heard a horrible commotion!  We turned around to find a little 14 hand bay mare wearing out a mammoth jack. I looked at my friend and said, "she's mine!" Come sale time, here she comes.  My little  bay mare with the huge attitude turned out to be  Peppy San Badger and Doc Bar bred to boot. I puchased her before I realized we had not brought a trailer... Luckily, I found a hauler to bring her to my barn. By June, mounted by Katie Barger, they managed to win the 2008 AHSRA Queens contest as a 2 year old. At that point, I knew I had something special. Later that year she and I qualified for  the 2008 Arkansas State Horse Show in reining.  After the State Show, I started her on barrels and within two weeks she won the 2D at a local jackpot. She continues to be a super star. Look for her at the big shows in 2009. I expect great things.

My name is Katie Barger and I am the current Arkansas High School Rodeo Queen.  I would like to tell you about my experience with Josh Andrews  over the past year.  Josh is a person that is truly blessed with amazing ability of pairing people with horses.  He knows what to look for in a person and a horse and how to pair them together.  Without Josh's help this past year I would have not accomplished the goals that I have and for that I am truly grateful for Josh.  In June Josh blessed me with a two year old bay mare named Fabulous who was gorgeous and had quite the attitude to go with it. (But I also have a little so it was o.k.)  Josh was there every step of the way during the queen's contest cheering me on.  I think he was more nervous than I was!!!! (Love ya Josh)  Fabulous and I nailed the horsemanship pattern and won the horsemanship award, and I was crowned the Arkansas High School Rodeo Queen.  Then I was on my way to Farmington, New Mexico for the National Finals.  Josh and I both agreed that Fabulous was not ready for a trip like that and what it consisted of.  So Josh set off to find me a horse that could win nationals, and what he found was more than I could ever imagine!  He was solid black with a heart that was twice the size of his body and his name was Coolio.  He is the horse that gave me the ride of my life and I will never forget him.  We had ten grand entries carrying flags and two horsemanship patterns.  He was a true gentleman the whole week and everyone wanted to touch him.  We ended up finishing sixth out of forty-four girls.  I have never grown so attached to a horse in such a short amount of time.  I would recommend Josh and his horses to anyone competing at any level of competition.  Josh is a very straight-forward and honest person who you can truly rely on.  Josh thanks again for a unforgettable year!  Hope there's more to come!
